Lead time
What it does. Shows how long orders really take, from finished orders, by item, by item group or by work centre.
How to use it
Pick By item, By item group or By work centre. Pick All orders, In-house or Outside only, and a window from the last 30 days to All. Search by item number or description.
- By item: the order lead time, from first seen in D2 to finished, in calendar days. It also shows the time in production, from the first clocked start to finished, for orders with clocked time. Where OrderTime has a planned make time, it shows as Plan under the lead time. Click an item to see its orders.
- By item group: the same averages over each group in OrderTime's item master. Click a group to see its items.
- By work centre: hours per step, the estimate from the routing against the actual logged time, for clocked steps.
An average needs at least 3 orders. With fewer, D2 lists each order instead.
Send make times to OrderTime
Admins and planners may see Make times for OrderTime · N. It offers items with 3 or more finished orders in the last 12 months whose OrderTime make time is blank, or was last set by D2. D2's figure is the average order lead time in calendar days. Tick the items you want, then Send N to OrderTime. The button shows only when your company has this turned on.
