Capacity
What it does. Shows how much work each work centre has against the people staffed on it, for today, the next 7 days or the next 2 weeks. Each work centre gets a card with three dials, grouped by department.
How to use it
Pick Day, Week or 2 weeks. The line under the title gives the open days counted, the capacity percentage and the day targets.
Each work centre card shows staffed hours against capacity, then three dials:
- Released: work on the floor.
- Loaded: work in the queue, not yet released.
- Committed (Planned): work planned on the calendar, not yet queued.
Each dial shows hours and how many days they last with the people staffed. A chip compares the days with your targets: LOW, ON TARGET or OVER. NO STAFF means work is there and nobody is staffed. BOOK on the Committed dial means planned work is booked there. Under the dials you see:
- Work on hand: Released plus Loaded plus Committed.
- Open jobs: work orders with a step at that centre in the window.
- On time: steps finished by their promised day over the last 4 weeks.
- incl. Nh past due: past-due work, counted as today's.
An amber link such as 2 days · 14 h placed, nobody staffed opens Staffing on the first day that needs people. Click a work centre or department name to open the Work List filtered to it. Department rows fold open and shut. The line at the bottom totals the shop. Refresh reloads, and Print prints the panel.
FAQ
Where do the targets come from? Settings › Operators. Targets apply to the Released and Loaded dials. Without targets the line says no targets set and those two dials show no LOW, ON TARGET or OVER chip.
What is the capacity percentage? The share of staffed hours D2 counts as working time. In Day view, open Day ledger on a card to see the sum: capacity is the smaller of the work centre's units times the shop hours, and the staffed hours times that percentage.
A work centre is missing. The panel shows only work centres that count labour and have work or staffing in the window. Work centres that only order their steps are listed at the bottom as sequencing only.
