Load and release work
What it does. Moves committed work to the floor in two steps. You load a step onto its work centre, then release it. Released work is what prints for the floor and what the Staffing view counts as demand.
How to use it
- Open Schedule, then Scheduling. The Committed Queue on the left lists every step of every committed work order.
- Click → on a step. It lands in its work centre's card on the right, under Loaded (staging).
- Put the staged steps in the order you want them run. Drag them, or move one to another work centre.
- Click Release on a step, or on the card to release everything staged there. Released steps go to the bottom of the card's Released list.
FAQ
My order isn't in the Committed Queue. Only committed work orders show here. Commit it on Planning first.
I loaded the wrong step. Click Unload on it. It goes back to the Committed Queue.
I released too early. Click Unrelease. The step returns to the staged list. When you release it again it goes to the bottom of the queue.
A step was loaded for a day that has passed. It moves to the next working day by itself the next time Schedule opens.
