Release, Release All and Unrelease
What it does. Sends staged steps to the bottom of a work centre's released queue, or takes a released step back. Released steps keep their order. New releases go to the bottom.
How to use it
- Release on a step: releases that step and any earlier unreleased steps of the same work order, even if they sit on other work centres. D2 lists them first and asks before it goes ahead. A step that was not loaded yet is loaded onto today as it is released.
- Release on a card: releases everything staged on that work centre, in the order shown.
- Release All: does the same for every card. D2 asks first, with the number of work centres and steps.
- Unrelease: returns a released step to the staged list.
FAQ
The step is part of a batch. The confirm box also lists the batch's other jobs. Any that are loaded are released with it. Any not loaded yet are named as staying behind.
One work centre failed during Release All. D2 names the work centre and the reason, and releases the rest. Press Release on the card that failed.
Why did my unreleased step go to the bottom when I released it again? A release always goes to the bottom of the released queue.
